Charlottetown Police Services were called to the area of University Avenue and Allen Street where it was reported that a man was pulling out election campaign signs.
The male was seen pulling out election signs, then proceeded to threatened people that had observed him cause the damage. He was located by Police and brought to the Police Headquarters where he became combative and violent with Officers.
As a result, the 46 year old Charlottetown male was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief under $5000
- Assault
- Uttering threats (2 counts)
- Resist arrest
- Assault Police Officer (2 counts)
- Breach of a Recognizance Order
- Breach of Probation Order (3 counts)
The accused was remanded in custody for a Show Cause hearing to be held today (Tuesday) at 09:30 in Provincial Court.
