Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit located and arrested a 33 year old Charlottetown woman at approximately 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening (June 10). Police had been looking for the female in connection with a flight from police incident that occurred on May 30th.
During the arrest on Wednesday, Police located a significant quantity of methamphetamine consistent with drug trafficking.
The accused is now facing multiple charges:
- CDSA 5(2) – Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking
- Flight from Police
- Dangerous Driving
- Driving while Prohibited (x2)
- Theft of mail
- Breach of Probation (x2)
The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
