While on routine patrol yesterday afternoon, Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on University Avenue. The vehicle fled from Police through a business parking lot. Police were able to keep sight of the vehicle which eventually got stuck in traffic and pulled over for Officers. While dealing with the two vehicle occupants, Police discovered stolen items in the rear of the vehicle.
A 35 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with flight from police, theft under $5000 dollars and breach of probation. The passenger of the vehicle, a 20 year old Charlottetown female has also been charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation.
Both have been released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
