At 7:35 pm Friday (Feb 12th), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male causing a disturbance at a business on University Avenue.
Upon arrival Police learned that a male had entered the store and began to argue with a female worker whom was his girlfriend. The male was intoxicated and when asked to leave by other staff, he assaulted one person, threatened others and overturned clothing racks. He then left prior to Police arriving.
The male was located a short time later and arrested. A 20 year old Souris male has been charged with assault, causing a disturbance and three (3) counts of uttering threats. He was lodge in jail overnight and released with conditions the following day. He will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
