At 10:45 am yesterday morning (Feb 22), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint that a Taxi driver had just had her wallet and cell phone stolen by a male being dropped off at a location on the Kensington Road.
Officers were directed to a building in which the male had entered. A search of that building resulted with the arrest of the male suspect. The suspect had broken into an unoccupied unit while inside the building and was found to be in possession of four knives on his person.
A 27 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with theft under $5000 dollars, obtain transportation by fraud, break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He has been released from custody with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
