Charlottetown Police Services have charged three individuals with impaired driving over the weekend in separate incidents.
File: 20211836814 – At approximately 12:38 pm Friday afternoon (Dec 10), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a driver that appeared to be passed out behind the wheel in a business parking lot on University Avenue. While interacting with the driver, Police determined that she was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 24 year old Charlottetown female refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
File: 20211846813 – At 2:37 pm Sunday afternoon, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Euston Street. Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 40 year old Charlottetown female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
File: 20211847425 – At 5:55 pm Sunday afternoon, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver near the Arterial Highway. Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 73 year old Charlottetown female refused to provide breath samples and was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
