At 5:10 pm yesterday afternoon (Mar 14th), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a tractor trailer driver that was possibly impaired and parked in a local business parking lot near the Charlottetown Mall.
The responding Officer located the vehicle and determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested. The driver was taken back to the Police station and provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit.
A 28 year old Stoney Creek Ontario male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was also issued a 90 day driving prohibition order and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days. The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
