Follow us on TwitterFile: 20231534685 – At approximately 3:50 am Sunday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Brackley Point Road in which the lone vehicle was stuck in the ditch. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol.
A 17 year old Summerside male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were over the legal limit.
The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
Charlottetown Police Services is reminding the public to plan ahead and never get behind the wheel when their ability to drive is impaired by drugs or alcohol.
The Police Service wishes to thank concerned citizens for reporting possible impaired drivers. The public is encouraged to report instances of suspected impaired driving by calling 911.
