Street Crime Unit Seize Large Quantity of Crystal Meth

At approximately 5:00 pm yesterday (July 29), the Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit with assistance from Patrol Officers executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Park Avenue.

Officers seized 2.7 kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine (over $130,000 street value), drug paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking, three cell phones and over $3000.00 dollars in cash.

Lawrence Jonathan ELLIS has been charged with CDSA 5(2) –  Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court on Thursday.
