Charlottetown Police Services responded to twelve (12) complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend, three (3) of which have resulted in charges being laid.
File: 20211160492 – At 11:15 pm Friday night, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Brighton Road. Police located and pulled the vehicle over. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 20 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
File: 20211160560 – At 11:40 pm Friday night, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on MacWilliams Road. Police located the vehicle on the Brackley Point Road and pulled it over. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 56 year old Mount Stewart female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were almost three (3) times the legal limit.
File: 20211170773 – Shortly after 8:00 pm last night, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Mount Edward Road. Police located and pulled the vehicle over. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 38 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were almost three (3) times the legal limit.
All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
