A male that was dropped off at the Provincial Shelter on Park Street Saturday morning by Police from another jurisdiction has been charged following a string of property damage occurrences.

A 4:00am Saturday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a male throwing bricks into vehicle windows and business windows. Police attended and learned that a male had been in the area and had damaged several vehicles and business windows.  A witness provided Police with a description of the male.   Other responding Officers located a male matching the description a short time later on Fitzroy Street and arrested him.

At present, there are 7 businesses and residences along with several vehicles that sustained damage amounting to thousands of dollars of repair bills.  Police are asking the public to report similar occurrences if they have not already done so.  The male was causing this damage between the hours of 00:45 am to 4:00 am Saturday morning (Aug 10).

A 34 year old Dunstaffnage male has been charged with 7 counts of mischief under $5000 dollars.   He appeared in court Sunday and has been remanded in custody.   Further charges are pending as Police expect to receive and lay additional damage to property charges.
