At approximately 11:20 a.m. yesterday, Charlottetown Police Services received a call about an armed robbery at a local business on Queen Street.
The caller reported that a masked and hooded male entered the business and attempted to steal items. When confronted, he pulled a knife then departed the store. Approximately 20 minutes later, the General Patrol Unit located and arrested the suspect. Fortunately, there were no injuries related to the incident.
41-year-old Tyler Dana Carl Gaudet has been charged with the following offences:
- armed robbery (s. 343 CCC)
- breach of probation (s. 733 CCC)
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2025.
