Officers seized nearly 2kg of cocaine and a 12-guage shotgun
Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit arrested and charged four Nova Scotia individuals following an investigation into an Organized Crime Group operating in the greater Charlottetown area.
On Wednesday, November 12 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit assisted by the Tactical Response Unit and Major Crime Unit executed two Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrants simultaneously at a residence in Cornwall and another in Stratford. Two individuals were arrested at the Cornwall residence, and two others were arrested at the residence in Stratford without incident.
Officers seized 1.9 kilograms of cocaine, 25 grams of MDMA, 181 grams of cannabis and 25 Percocet tablets, one 12-gauge shotgun, 17 rounds of ammunition, more than $11,000 cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking. The street value of the seized drugs is nearly $235,000.

Makell Cain (28 years old), Khalil Cain (20 years old), Jenawnd Beals (26 years old) and Taylor Brown (21 years old), all from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, have been charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of MDMA for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of a firearm for dangerous purposes (s. 88 CCC)
- Careless storage of a firearm (s. 86 CCC)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (s. 91 CCC)
All individuals charged have been remanded in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
