At approximately 3:00 p.m. yesterday, Charlottetown Police Services received a call about a suspected impaired driver who was reportedly seen veering off the road and speeding in a school zone. With assistance from the caller, the General Patrol Unit quickly located the vehicle in a school parking lot. The reported signs of impairment were confirmed as the breath samples came back at more than three times the legal limit.
The 46-year-old female driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
She was later released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
