Street Crime Unit Executes Targeted Traffic Stop Leads to Seized Drugs, Weapons and Ammunition

On January 7, 2026, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit executed a targeted traffic stop leading to the arrest of 32-year-old Morgan Dixon. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, ammunition, two cell phones and other drug-related paraphernalia.

The 32-year-old has been charged with:

  • Resisting a peace officer (s. 129 CCC)
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA s. 5(2)
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes (s. 88 CCC)
  • Operating a vehicle while prohibited (s. 320 CCC)
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (s. 320 CCC)
  • Possession of ammunition in a motor vehicle (s. 94 CCC)
  • Possession of prohibited ammunition without holding a license (s. 91 CCC)

Dixon has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on January 15, 2026.
