On February 12, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Response Unit and General Patrol Unit, executed a search warrant on a Charlottetown residence that led to the arrest of five individuals connected to the sale of illegal drugs, along with the seizure of drugs and weapons. So far, 34 charges have been laid, with additional charges still pending.

As a result of the search, officers seized approximately 340 grams of cocaine, 18 grams of crack cocaine, 18 grams of ecstasy, a quantity of oxycodone, 253 grams of dried cannabis, a shotgun and shotgun ammunition, a revolver and ammunition, approximately $39,000 in cash, numerous cellphones, drug packaging materials and drug processing materials.

25-year-old Teagen Anthony James Gass has been charged with:

  • Possession (of cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession (of opioid) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession (of methylenedioxyamphetamine – ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (s. 91 CCC)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon (s. 91 CCC)
  • Unsafe storage of firearm (s. 86 CCC) – two counts
  • Possession of a firearm / weapon / ammunition at unauthorized place (s.93 CCC) – two counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (s. 88 CCC) – two counts
  • Careless use of firearm (s. 86 CCC) – two counts
  • Weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization (s. 117 CCC) – two counts
  • Failure to comply with probation order (s. 733 CCC)
  • Distribute over 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent) (s. 13 CA)
  • Possess, sell, distribute, tobacco products and raw leaf tobacco (s. 121 CCC)

24-year-old Tanner James Paul Hill has been charged with:

  • Possession (of cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession (of opioid) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession (of methylenedioxyamphetamine – ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (s. 91 CCC)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon (s. 91 CCC)
  • Unsafe storage of firearm (s. 86 CCC) – two counts
  • Possession of a firearm / weapon / ammunition at unauthorized place (s. 93 CCC) – two counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (s. 88 CCC) – two counts
  • Careless use of firearm (s. 86 CCC) – two counts
  • Failure to comply with probation order (s. 733 CCC)
  • Distribute over 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent) (s. 13 CA)

Gass and Hill have been remanded into custody and will appear in court on February 24, 2026. The three other individuals, a 24-year-old female, a 25-year-old female and a 27-year-old male were released with charges pending.
