On February 18, Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on a Charlottetown residence that led to the arrest of two individuals.
As a result of the search, officers seized approximately 120.88 grams of fentanyl, 53 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of morphine pills, cash and cellphones.
39-year-old Kevin Ian Jay has been charged with:
- Possession (of fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Possession (of crystal methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Failure to comply with probation order (s. 733 CCC) – two counts
37-year-old Jessica Elizabeth Arsenault has been charged with:
- Possession (of fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Possession (of crystal methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking – CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose (s. 88 CCC)
- Failure to comply with a release order (s. 145 CCC)
- Failure to comply with probation order (s. 733 CCC)
Both have been remanded into custody and will appear in court on February 23, 2026.
