On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Charlottetown Police Services were called to a business on Kent Street. Police arrived with minutes of the call being received and located a male victim outside.
The 52-year-old male victim sustained a serious stab wound as a result of a physical altercation involving a knife. He was treated in hospital for his injury and later released. The male suspect, 20-year-old Denver MacNabb, was arrested on scene and treated in hospital for minor injuries before being taken to the Provincial Correctional Centre.
MacNabb was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Attempted murder (s. 239 CCC)
- Aggravated assault (s. 268 CCC)
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (s. 88 CCC)
He was remanded and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
