Charlottetown Police Services has partnered with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation to take part in its Immersive Hate Crime training program. This training is designed to increase the department’s capacity to investigate allegations of hate crime and support victims. Police officers, along with civilian staff, which includes dispatchers, will be taking part in this training starting next week.

Part of this training is hearing from our community. Your experiences, ideas, and questions are important to us. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation.

Residents and community members are invited to attend the following session:

Date: Monday, January 12, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Murchison Centre, 17 St. Pius X Avenue

The community session will focus on how to recognize and report hate crimes and incidents; community resources and support; and strategies to build a safer, more inclusive community.
