Charlottetown Police Services responded to several complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend resulting in two separate charges being laid.
On Saturday March 30th at 11:00pm, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver that drove over a curb on Grafton Street. The vehicle was located and Police determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and arrested.
A 46 year old Charlottetown woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
On Sunday March 31st at 10:00pm, while on routine patrol, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically and performed a traffic stop on Kensington Road. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.
A 19 year old Hazelbrook man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
