Over the last few days Charlottetown Police Services has seen an increased volume of complaints reporting thefts from vehicles and thefts from sheds.
Some have involved daytime thefts from vehicles in public parking lots, while most are committed at nigh time under the cover of darkness.
Several communities have been affected:
- Parkdale
- St. Avard’s
- Downtown
- Brighton
Charlottetown Police will be stepping up patrols in these areas.
Residents can take some preventative measures such as:
- Keep their vehicle doors, shed doors locked
- Do not leave valuables such as purses, wallets and electronic devices in vehicles
Residents are also encouraged to immediately report suspicious activity to Police.
