Follow us on TwitterCharlottetown Police Services responded to several possible impaired driver complaints over the weekend which has led to two (2) separate charges being laid.
At 3:00 am Saturday morning, Police responded to a complaint of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank on Belvedere Avenue. Police located the vehicle and determined that the driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested at the scene. A 22 year old Charlottetown man was later charged with impaired driving and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
At 1:55 am this morning, while on patrol on Kent Street, Police met a vehicle driving in the wrong direction. A vehicle stop ensued and the driver showed signs of impairment by alcohol. The 27 year old Ontario man was arrested and subsequently charged with impaired driving and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
