Shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a large gathering at a residence on Queen Street.
Upon Police arrival, a large group was observed inside residential property. Police spoke to the property representative and instructed her to have the guests leave as they were exceeding the maximum of 20 persons guideline established by the Provincial Chief Public Health Officer. The group complied and dispersed without incident.
A 24 year old Charlottetown female was issued a $1000 fine under section 39(8) of the Public Health Act which prohibits indoor personal gatherings in excess of 20 people.
