Attempt to Evade Police – Tickets Issued

At 8:00 pm Friday evening (Nov 13), while on routine patrol, Charlottetown Police observed a vehicle driving erratically on Riverside Drive.  As the Police vehicle turned around, the suspect vehicle was observed accelerating in an attempt to evade Officers.  The vehicle was located a short time later parked in the Hillsborough Hospital parking lot with the driver still in it.

The driver, a 19 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged under the Highway Traffic Act with two summary offence tickets of failing to have insurance and failing to have vehicle registration.
