While on routine patrol at 2:15 am Saturday morning (Mar 12), Police observed a vehicle that was driving erratically and pulled it over on University Avenue.
The Officer determined that the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested. The driver was taken back to the Police station to provide breath samples which were over twice the legal limit.
A 22 year old New Zealand PEI male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
