Charlottetown Police Services have charged two individuals with impaired driving over the weekend in separate incidents.
File: 2022375295 – At approximately 10:25 am Saturday morning (March 26), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a driver that may be impaired on Westridge Crescent. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 57 year old Charlottetown male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were almost 3 times the legal limit .
File: 2022378405 – While on routine patrol shortly after midnight on Sunday morning (March 27), police observed a vehicle driving without any lights on and pulled it over on Queen Street. The driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 23 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were almost 3 times the legal limit ..
Both males will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
