On Friday afternoon (April 29th), Charlottetown Police Services responded to an assault complaint at the Outreach Center on Euston Street. Through the course of the investigation, it is alleged that two males got into a verbal argument inside the Center that escalated into a physical confrontation resulting in one male stabbing the other male. The victim sustained two minor stab wounds to the chest area that required medical attention at the QEH. The victim was released from Hospital a few hours later.
The suspect did leave the Center prior to Police arrival but was located and arrested a short time later.
A 37 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with attempted murder and breach of probation. He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
