At 9:15 pm last night (July 10), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on St Peters Road. Responding Officers located the vehicle on Turtle Lane. The driver of the vehicle displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 42 year old Charlottetown man was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath sample that were twice the legal limit. He was also issued a 90 day driving prohibition order and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.
The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
