Charlottetown Police Services have laid B&E charges in two separate cases over the last 24 hours.
File: 2023514595 – On April 18th, CPS responded to a complaint of a Break and Enter from a garage at a residence on Villa Avenue. Video surveillance was used to identify a male suspect. The male was observed entering a parked vehicle and then entered the garage and left moments later. Later that same day, the male suspect was located by Police and arrested. A 40 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with break and enter and breach of probation. He was released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
File: 2023516188 – While on Patrol this morning at 2:30am (April 19), Police noticed suspicious activity at a business on Belvedere Avenue and proceeded to investigate. A male was located inside the building and arrested. A 27 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instrument, mischief under $5000, fail to comply with a release order and breach of probation. The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
