Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit has charged a 49 year old Charlottetown male with drug offences following a 6 week long investigation.
Yesterday morning (Feb 1), the Street Crime Unit arrested the male on Capital Drive and seized a quantity of crack cocaine. The same male had been charged with drug offences by the Street Crime Unit in October of last year. He had been released at that time and was awaiting his next court date.
He now faces an additional charge of CDSA 5(2) Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
The accused was remanded in custody this morning and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
