At 2:00am Saturday morning (Feb 17), while on routine patrol, a Charlottetown Police Officer was flagged down on Kent Street by several males that appeared in distress. The males told Police that they were in an altercation with other males, when one of them brandished a black hand gun and threatened them. The Officer was told that the suspect males were inside a vehicle in the Fitzroy Parkade.
The Officer was able to locate the vehicle as it attempted to exit the parkade. Four males inside the vehicle were detained and Police located a black pellet hand gun inside the vehicle.
A 21 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and pointing a firearm.
The male was released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
