At 8:30 pm Friday evening (Apr 12), Charlottetown Police Services and Charlottetown Fire Department responded to a business parking lot on Riverside Drive in response to a pick up truck that was on fire.
As emergency crews arrived on scene, the pickup truck was fully engulfed. There was no risk to the public and no one sustained any injuries. Police have deemed the fire accidental.
Police did charge the driver, a 44 year old Stratford male with possession of property obtained by crime, when Officers discovered that the vehicle license plate was stolen. The accused was released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
