File 2024705910: At 11:30 pm Friday night (May 24), while on routine patrol, an Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Kent Street and pulled it over. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 31 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with impaired driving after providing breath samples that were over twice the legal limit.

File 2024706601: At 2:30 am Saturday morning (May 25), while on routine patrol, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically and pulled it over on Weymouth Street.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested. She was brought back to the Police Station and refused to provide breath samples.

A 28 year old Charlottetown female has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand.

File 2024710679: At 10:40 pm Saturday night (May 25), Officers responded to a possible impaired driving complaint and located it in a business parking lot on University Avenue.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested. The driver was brought back to the Police Station and refused to provide breath samples.

A 19 year old Breadalbane PE male has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand.

All accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

Charlottetown Police Services is reminding the public  to  plan ahead and never get behind the wheel when their ability to drive is impaired by drugs or alcohol.

The Police Service wishes to thank concerned citizens for reporting possible impaired drivers.   The public is encouraged to report instances of suspected impaired driving by calling 911.

 

 

A 23 year old Kingston PEI male has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
