On Thursday morning (June 6, 2024) Charlottetown Police Services responded to a break and enter complaint from a restaurant on University Avenue. Police learned that the male suspect entered the establishment via a drive thru window two days prior and stole liquor and a tablet. Video surveillance was reviewed which resulted in Police being able to identify the male. Later in the day, Police located the suspect and arrested him.
A 30 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with break and enter and breach of probation. He was released with conditions a few hours later.
On July 9th, Police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint that occurred on Norwood Road. At approximately 7:00 pm, an Officer observed the stolen vehicle going through a drive thru on Mount Edward Road. To avoid the vehicle from fleeing from Police, Officers boxed it in with their vehicles and arrested the driver without incident.
The same 30 year old Charlottetown male was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 dollars and breach of probation. The accused appeared in Provincial Court this morning and has been remanded in custody.
