Charlottetown Police Services are warning the public and businesses that counterfeit $50.00 bills have been circulating in the Charlottetown area.
On Nov 12 Police responded to a complaint from a business on Mount Edward Road reporting that a male had passed a counterfeit $50 bill.
On Nov 18 Police responded to another complaint of a male and female that passed two counterfeit $50 bills at a business located on Euston Street.
On Nov 19, Police arrested a 35 year old Charlottetown male in relation to both occurrences and charged him with uttering counterfeit money x2 and breach of Probation x2. He has been released from custody with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
