Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a credit card being fraudulently used at a local business.
The complainant noticed that his credit card was missing when he received a text message on his phone saying that his card had just been used at a local Charlottetown business.
Police attended the business and located the persons that had just used the card. As a result of the investigation, a 16 year old male has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, fraudulent use of a credit card and breach of probation. A second youth, a 17 year old female has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and fraudulent use of a credit card.
The credit card is believed to have been stolen from a vehicle.
The male remains in custody and will appear in court later today. The female was released and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
