Charlottetown Police Services have charged two drivers in separate occurrences over the weekend.

At 00:52 am Sunday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on University Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and pulled it over. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 35 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after he provided breath samples that were almost three (3) times the legal limit. The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

At 2:10 am this morning (April 26), Charlottetown Police Service responded to a single vehicle collision on St Peters Road. Police determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested. The driver was not injured.
A 53 year old Stratford male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after he provided breath samples that were over three (3) times the legal limit. The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
