Charlottetown Police Services charged three impaired drivers over the weekend.
File: 20211479231 – At 1:30 am Saturday morning, while on routine patrol, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically on University Avenue and effected a traffic stop. The driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested.
A 24 year old Charlottetown female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
File: 20211484872 – At 2:20 am Sunday morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a minor vehicle collision in a parking lot on Great George Street. The vehicle had struck a parked vehicle and no injuries were reported to Police. Police spoke with the driver on scene and determined that he was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 25 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
File: 20211486998 – Shortly after 4:00 pm on Sunday, Police responded to two separate complaints of a possible impaired driver that drove through the center portion of the round about on St Peters Drive and Angus Drive. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene but was located near a residence on Parkman Drive. The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 47 year old Mount Stewart male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
All charged individuals will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
