At 4:30 pm yesterday (Oct 4), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint from a motorist reporting that a male and female were arguing outside their vehicle on the shoulder portion of the Arterial Highway.
Upon arrival, Police observed a vehicle pulled over with several occupants. Police were told that the suspect male had left the area on foot after he allegedly assaulted two persons that were in the vehicle. The suspect was located a short time after and arrested.
A 22 year old Alberta male was subsequently charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault and five (5) counts of uttering death threats.
The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow.
