Search Warrant Executed – Drug and Other Charges Laid

Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit, with the assistance from the Rapid Tactical Deployment Unit and Patrol Officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Dewar Drive in Stratford.

The search resulted in the seizure of:

• 46 grams of crystal meth
• $2800.00 cash
• two (2) replica airsoft/bb guns
• bear spray and knives
• other items consistent with trafficking drugs

A 25 year old Stratford male has been charged with:

• possession of drugs (crystal meth) for the purpose of trafficking
• possession of a prohibited weapon
• breach of probation

The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be laid.

The accused has been released with conditions and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
