At approximately 3:05 pm yesterday afternoon (Mar 5), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of someone pointing a firearm out of the passenger side window of a vehicle that was traveling on Capital Drive.
The complainant was able to provide a description of the vehicle and direction of travel. Given the direction of travel, the Queens RCMP were advised of the complaint as the vehicle was heading into their jurisdiction and asked to be on the lookout. A short time later, RCMP located the vehicle and arrested two males. A replica hand gun (bb gun) was located and seized. RCMP turned over the two males to Charlottetown Police for the continuation of the investigation.
As a result, two 22 year old males have been charged with possession of a weapon. Both males will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
