Follow us on TwitterCharlottetown Police Services wish to inform the public that there has been an increased volume of complaints reporting thefts from vehicles. See map below that indicates the areas of theft in the City since last Friday (Feb 7). Charlottetown Police will be stepping up patrols in these areas.
Items stolen include wallets, purses, gift cards, clothing/sporting goods, sunglasses and loose change. In all cases, the vehicle doors were left unlocked.
Residents can take some effective and simple preventative measures such as:
- Do not leave valuables such as purses, wallets and electronic devices in vehicles
- Always keep your doors locked
Residents are also encouraged to immediately report suspicious activity to Police.
