Revenue Canada Tax Scam – iTunes/Steam Cards

Island residents should be aware of phone calls requesting payment for outstanding taxes. Fraudsters posing as Revenue Canada Agents request payment be made with iTunes Cards and Steam Cards. Once the victim purchases the cards the fraudsters ask for the validation number to redeem cards online. Revenue Canada does not collect outstanding taxes via iTunes and Steam Cards, please contact your local law enforcement agency if you have been defrauded by this method.
