Charlottetown Police Services responded to several complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend, three of which involved collisions and have led to criminal code charges.

On Saturday Nov 2nd at approximately 4:30 pm, Police were called to a two vehicle collision on Kensington Road.  The driver of one of the vehicles displayed signs of impairment by  alcohol and was arrested  A 52 year old Charlottetown woman has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

On Saturday Nov 2nd at approximately 10:30 pm, Police responded to a complaint of a vehicle hitting a light pole in a parking lot on the Brackley Point Rd.   Police located the vehicle a short time later on Mount Edward Road  and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver displayed signs of impaired by alcohol and was arrested.  A 20 year old Charlottetown man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

On Sunday morning at 4:30 am, Police responded to a complaint of a vehicle “hung up” on a flower bed at the Hillsborough Community Centre.  Upon arrival, Police located the vehicle stuck in a flower bed.   The female driver, a 22 year old Alliston woman was arrested and subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

The three accused’s will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
