At approximately 7:20 on Friday evening, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the downtown area.
Upon Police arrival, the male became agitated and aggressive. The male was eventually arrested for causing a disturbance and taken into custody. The 47 year old Charlottetown man was subsequently charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, uttering threats and breach of probation.
The accused appeared in court on Saturday at which point he was remanded in custody. During transport back to the Provincial Correctional Centre, the accused became violent and kicked out the rear window of the Police vehicle. The accused was charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of probation.
The accused appeared in Provincial Court this morning and plead guilty to three (3) or the six (6) charges and was sentenced to 60 days custody on an intermittent basis to be served on weekends. The accused was released following his court appearance this morning.
