Shortly before 9:00 am on January 1st, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a call of a possible impaired driver on St Peters Road.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to pull it over however, the vehicle did not stop for Police and continued driving at a slow rate of speed. Police were eventually able to stop the suspect vehicle and arrested both occupants.
The driver, a 27 year old Summerside male, has been charged with Flight from Police, Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Assault with a weapon, Mischief under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
The passenger, a 24 year old Charlottetown male, has been charged with Mischief under $5000, Fail to comply with an Undertaking, Breach of Probation and other unrelated theft charges.
Both males appeared in Provincial Court yesterday and have been remanded in custody until their next court appearance.
