Charlottetown Police Services have charged a 26 year old Charlottetown man in relation to thefts from vehicles that occurred overnight on Saturday/Sunday.
At 3:25am Sunday morning, Police were called to the Ellis Road area in response to a complaint of a male seen going through vehicles. Police located the 26 year old male and subsequently charged him with Trespass at Night, Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation.
The accused was released with condition consisting of reporting to Charlottetown Police every Monday and abiding by a daily curfew between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am. He will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
Police are reminding the public to protect themselves from these types of thefts by locking their doors and not leaving anything of value inside the vehicle.
