Charlottetown Police issued two separate Highway Traffic Act charges for suspended driving and no insurance early this morning.
At approximately 1:45am this morning, while on routine patrol, Police performed a traffic stop and determined that the driver had a suspended license. A traffic ticket for driving while suspended license and no vehicle insurance was issued. The vehicle was also impounded.
At approximately 2:20am this morning, while on routine patrol, Police observed a vehicle with a known suspended driver driving the vehicle and a traffic stop ensued. As a result, the driver was issued traffic tickets for driving while suspended and no vehicle insurance. The vehicle was also impounded.
Driving while suspended fines carry a fine of $275.00 dollars, while driving with no insurance carries a fine of $675.00 dollars.
