A federal Parolee, who failed to return for his curfew in Saint John New Brunswick and unlawfully at large since Sunday Oct 18th 2020, was arrested yesterday afternoon on Upper Prince Street.
Charlottetown Police Services were informed about Richard LECLAIR (99/11/17) being Wanted and that he may be in the Charlottetown area. In addition to the arrest on the Parole warrant, Charlottetown Police have charged LECLAIR with fraud under $5000 when he failed to pay for a cab fare from Saint John NB to Charlottetown.
LECLAIR is serving a 2 year sentence for a sexual assault conviction he received on November 28, 2018.
He was lodged at the Provincial Correctional Centre and will be returned to the Federal Penitentiary.
