Impaired Driving – Charge Laid

At 7:55 pm Saturday evening (Jan 8), Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Water Street.  The vehicle was located a short time later stuck in the snow in Victoria Park.  The driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

A 24 year old Hampshire male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples that were twice the legal limit.   The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
